Mr. Joseph Long
Founder and Managing Director
Joe founded ProRome in 2014 while completing an MA in Church History at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. A citizen of both the US and Italy, Joe’s passion is European history. His goal is to provide life-changing experiences of faith, history and culture.
Joe lives in both Charlottesville, VA and Rome, Italy, planning, marketing and leading trips throughout Europe.
Mr. Daniel Kirkland
Daniel Kirkland is the office manager at ProRome’s headquarters in Charlottesville, VA. Daniel handles the administrative aspects of preparing for tours, including processing forms and checks and answering clients’ questions.
Daniel is also the director of music and liturgy at Holy Comforter Catholic Church in Charlottesville, VA.
Ms. Mary Rose Gallipeau
Trip Planning Specialist & Liaison
Mary Rose Gallipeau is a Catholic Music Minister in Florida and she is currently completing a BME in Music Education, K-12. As such, she enjoys sharing the beauty of the Catholic faith through music with students of all ages. Her specialties include piano, harp, and voice, as well as composing.
She works as a Trip Planning Specialist & Liaison for ProRome, developing new clientele relationships and coordinating with clients to provide them with trip information.
Ms. Bethany Bateman
Summer Program Development Officer
Bethany Bateman has a B.A. in Political Science from Ave Maria University. She serves as our Summer Program Development Officer. As such, Bethany works seasonally in both Europe and the United States, overseeing ProRome summer programs and developing company-supplier relations.
Bethany also serves as our marketing coordinator, creating beautiful media content and promotional materials in order to propel our mission.
Mrs. Carol Long
Carol Long completed an MA in Renaissance Art History at Villa Schifanoia Graduate School of Fine Arts in 1981. She eventually moved to Pennsylvania to teach Art History at the University of Scranton, where she resided until 2014. She now lives with her family in Staunton, VA.
Carol’s primary role is organizing the many Masses, tour bookings and reservations for each tour. She also assists as a part-time office administrator.
Mrs. Naomi Long
After earning a B.A. in the Liberal Arts Naomi found a true passion within the fine wine industry and now holds a Level II Executive Sommelier certificate from the International Wine & Spirits Guild. She has over fifteen years in hospitality and always endeavors to bring the loveliness of the Old World to the foreground. Naomi finds a true joy in helping others freshen their aspects with art, history, and cuisine that is both time-honored and yet new to them.
Naomi’s role is developing a Wine Guide for each ProRome tour and pilgrimage.
